How long will it take to heal?

Healing will take time. Patience is required. You need to remember that this sickness is due to the accumulation of bad habits and genetics. For me, I had eaten poorly up until 19 years of age. It's a hard pill to swallow at times but it is reality. I had been eating way too much carbs, fiber, and bad fats for too long. I simply didn't know any better. I thought I was young and that these were the years to enjoy a fast metabolism.

Luckily, the human body is an incredible organism and can heal itself quickly. For me, it took around 2 months to stop seeing blood in my stool and for symptoms to be absent. It takes time and requires patience. The longer your in remission, the less likely it is for a flare-up to occur.
